All our classes are small, with a ratio of no more than 5 to 6 students per teacher. We offer project-specific, technique-specific, and general silversmithing classes, in addition to private tutoring

Beginning metalsmithing and soldering

This full-day workshop is designed to teach the basics of creating a piece of jewelry. You will learn how to saw, sand, and join

metal to metal to create a ring that you will take home with you at the end of the workshop.

Lost Wax Cast with Taylor Girouard

In this half-day workshop, you will learn the ancient art of lost wax casting to carve a custom ring of your own design. No experience necessary!

Limited to 6 students

There will be a $45 materials and casting fee collected at the time of the workshop (please note that a higher fee will be charged for larger designs)

Rings will be available for pickup or shipping around two weeks after the workshop

New workshop!

Modernist earring workshop

Join us for this special full-day workshop with local jewelry artist Hannah Berman. Designed to teach decorative methods of riveting, piercing, studding and mixing metals, you will create your own modernist silver earrings to take home at the end of the day.

Knowledge of basic metalwork and soldering is a prerequisite for this workshop. Limited to 5 students.

Prong-set pendant intensive

In this full-day workshop, you will learn how to create a prong setting and leave at the end of the day with a pendant you have made. Knowledge of basic metalwork and soldering is a prerequisite for this workshop. Limited to 5 students.

Bezel-setting intensive

Come make a bezel setting for a cabochon. In this full-day workshop, you will build on what you’ve learned in our Beginning metalsmithing and soldering workshop by learning to build a bezel, mount it onto a ring, and set a stone

Knowledge of basic metalwork and soldering is a prerequisite for this workshop. Limited to 5 students.

Chain intensive

Designed for those who already know how to saw and solder, this one-day intensive will give you the skills to make cable chains, the basic building block for creating all sorts of chains. You’ll then finish your chain off with a toggle or S-hook clasp

Knowledge of basic metalwork and soldering is a prerequisite for this workshop. Limited to 5 students.

Wire-wrapping and pearl-knotting

This half-day workshop will introduce you to two techniques that don’t require any heat: wire-wrapping and pearl knotting, both of which result in elegant beaded chains. No experience necessary.
